Jaipur: Cops unearth inter-state racket which sells duplicate smartphones – Times of India

Jaipur police unearthed an inter-state racket which sold duplicate smartphones of international brands. International brands smartphones were sold after changing their International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers. Seven persons of the gang have been arrested. The gang used different components of Chinese and Pakistani mobile phones to make duplicate phones that looked similar to branded phones. A total of 93 phones were also seized. The Sanjay Circle police station listed the accused as Deepak Sukhwal (47) a resident of Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, his wife Mamta (35), Heena (30) a native of Indore, her husband Shakti (33), Mangal (22) of Jalgaon in Maharashtra, Ravi (32) also of Madhya Pradesh and Mohammad Ali (47) of New Delhi.
